Abstract

For a long time, radio in Russia was considered a biotope – a preserve for professional journalism. However, coverage of the war in the “People’s Republic of Donetsk” has revealed the opposite. Some radio stations see themselves as the organs of insurgent communiques; moderators act as agitators. They belong to the neo-Soviet generation of 20-30 year olds. This is generation Putin. But at the microphone, they are no longer Putinistas, but more radical revanchists in the mold of Igor Girkin.
