Long March
Communism in the People’s Republic of China
Deutsche Fassung
Abstract
The West’s view of the People’s Republic of China suffers from a strong focus on the utopia of “communism”. The search for the spectre of “communism” diverts attention from the rather plainly communicated political intentions and plans of the Middle Kingdom’s leaders. As a consequence, the West is unable to assess Chinese developments, which are planned with long-term objectives in mind, and to adjust accordingly.
