Abstract

In the age of globalization, it is necessary to pay more attention to developments outside Germany. The German press, however, is becoming more provincial. Due to falling advertisement revenues and a lack of willingness to invest, less space is available in newspapers for international topics. This creeping process is also shown in the fact that interest in maintaining a permanent correspondent in Moscow is declining.
