St. Witold, Pray for Us
Deutsche Fassung
Abstract
Witold’s entire work, I say, is basically one big fraud, which we accept because Witold is awesome and knows how to convince us, and because we ourselves have already been thoroughly spoiled by this encounter with modern art. But everything he uses to make his work is radically unaesthetic, one display of poor taste follows the other, no matter how one twists and turns, those twelve tones and consonance, by their very nature ghastly, as well as that controlled aleatoric, which, intellectually speaking, really is sensational, but sounds like the most ordinary kind of chaos in the orchestra.
