The End of the One-Way Street
Germany and Poland in On-Coming Traffic
Deutsche Fassung
Abstract
Poland’s and Germany’s world views, political ambitions, and interests are different. Poland’s road to Europe no longer runs through Germany alone; Germany’s role as Poland’s advocate is out of date. The time of embracing is over. The new self-confidence on both sides makes it possible to specify what divides the two countries more freely and more openly than before.
