Abstract
Postmodern and postcolonial discussions of theory and methodology are a current topic in Jewish history. However, their presuppositions and concepts can only be used selectively in this field of research. Recent studies on Jewish history work on a cultural-historical and interdisciplinary basis; their methodological instruments are diverse and not restricted to one school.
