Abstract
Bavarian State Library in Munich has an extensive collection of microfilmed archival records from and about Eastern Europe. Materials about the Cold War from Russian, American, and British archives are among the most important materials. Not only are the political tensions between the superpowers – the United States and the Soviet Union – documented, so is the political, social and economic background in Eastern and Central Eastern Europe as well as global aspects of the confrontation between the two blocs.
